Buy

Midori is USA-based distributor for music commissioned in the Bassoon Music from Africa project. See below for details on how you can add these bassoon works to your music library.

How it works: When you click the “Buy” buttons, you will be redirected to a Google form where you will enter details about your purchase. Once you submit the form, please continue to PayPal to complete your purchase. You will then receive an email with the delivery of your PDF(s). Midori will send all funds to the collaborating composer; she guarantees that 100% of your purchase goes to the composer and she will never take a distribution fee.

Why is Midori the distributor? Most of the works in the Bassoon Music from Africa project are not published (with the exception of Godwin Sadoh’s “Ola Ilu,” which can be purchased separately). But everyone involved would love to see these works performed more often. Each composer resides in a different country in Africa, creating unique circumstances for getting payments to composers when their works are purchased in the USA. Since Midori has strong working relationships with each composer, she is committed to making sure her collaborators are paid. Her goal is to eliminate obstacles like time-consuming distribution and costly international wire transfers so that everyone can benefit from what these masterpieces have to offer. Thank you for your trust in the integrity of this grassroots process.
